Welcome back to the Kingston and Sutton Digital blog!
My name is Cherelle and I will be the resident content creator of this blog aka editor in chief. I work in the Digital and IT team as a web administrator, and now I’m adding blogger to that list.
I joined the digital team officially last summer (more of that in another blog) and it’s been wild to learn about all the ways we’re trying to make it easier, simpler and faster for people to interact with the councils. In the last year or so, I’ve worked as part of an agile team with user researchers, content, service and UX designers, and delivery and product managers.
I have seen what the digital and IT teams can do and how the way we have worked has changed over the last couple of years. We have made so many changes to systems, websites, the way we interact with the users of the service and the impact this has had on them. We now want to share all of this information with you.
Our vision for this blog
I have lots of ideas to share along with the amazing team I work with at the council so expect to see lots of names and faces popping up from time to time. We have some BIG plans for this blog:
- from updating not one but TWO websites,
- a content audit journey
- building a new team
- projects, projects and more projects
- user researchers and all the fun they do and more
Now we have had missteps along the way for example how we have tacked PDFs for example, but we are an open blog and we will share these with you so you can learn from us. We only have your best interest at heart.
We will also be using this blog to share the current job openings we have, so if you or anyone you know would like to join our fab and fun team, this blog is your first stop.
We have a lot to tell you so if you would like to keep up to date with blogs go ahead and subscribe. I will also be tweeting so follow us on Twitter as the fun doesn’t stop here, LOL!
We would love to hear from you as well, to share your stories, and experiences of this mad digital world we live in, have questions about what we do or just want to say hello, then tweet, email, send digital smoke signals and we will get back to you.
Have a great day
Cherelle
